Garden Club
Somersham Garden Club in Cambridgeshire is a group of like-minded individuals with a passion for all things green and growing. Our aims are to promote interest and participation in gardening in Somersham and the surrounding area, and to develop a social network among our members. Established in 2003, we’re a friendly bunch with gardening skills ranging from expert to the casual “potterer”.
SGC holds monthly meetings (speakers during the winter months and garden visits and outings in the summer), a Christmas Party, BBQs, etc. We also hold a ‘big’ event each summer, such as the Somersham Open Gardens Weekend and the Summer Garden Fayre. This year we are holding a Royal Garden Party on June 4 to mark The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
Situated on the edge of The Fens, just north of the University City of Cambridge and the historic towns of Huntingdon and St Ives, Somersham offers a diverse area for wildlife and excellent conditions for the keen gardener.
